Verification standards and corrections

Apply the same standards across political viewpoints. Check specific factual claims, separate opinion and satire, and lead with the evidence rather than allegations about the person posting.

Sources and dates must support the finding. A missing source does not establish that a claim is false. AI-assisted drafts require IPC review, and specialist claims may need expert input.

Fresh evidence can reopen a review. The case returns to draft while the public finding is revised, and its change history is retained. Send new evidence or a correction request to stnicolem@gmail.com.

Method informed by the IFCN principles. IPC does not claim IFCN accreditation.
